Applebee’s commercial is already driving CFB fans insane

Applebee’s has a new commercial and it’s … well, it’s everywhere, if nothing else.
During a busy slate of Week 1 college football games, it seemed like it played during every single commercial break. The song used is “Fancy Like” by Walker Hayes, and it is getting stuck in people’s heads all around the nation.
Some are handling it better than others, but for some people, Applebee’s is now public enemy No. 1. Just look at some of these hilarious tweets about the commercial and song:
The amount of hate @Applebees has generated is impressive. Rest assured—as their commercials demonstrate—they hate you, too!
And their hate is microwaved. pic.twitter.com/h9eYPz294F

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BLOCK THE APPLEBEES COMMERCIAL
— Jay Arnold (@CoachJayArnold) September 3, 2021
Stop airing this commercial @Applebees. This is bad engagement. I used to not think about you, but now I hate you. Stop the bleeding. Delete the file! Every time I hear it I'll donate to TGI Fridays. Certainly it will roast in the Fire. Relent! Or I'll join the Chilis street team

I cannot do this Applebee’s commercial all season. I will quit college football.

If this Applebees commercial stays in heavy rotation, I'm not sure I'm going to survive college football season.

The song and commercial don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. It could be a long year for some of these fans if things continue down this path.
