Bobby Petrino ripped after Louisville bungles fourth quarter of FSU game
By Andrew Olson
Published:
Louisville looked to be on its way to victory against Florida State. The Cardinals had a 24-21 late into the fourth quarter. At the 1:56 mark, Louisville had first down on the FSU 21-yard line. Though it seems like an obvious running situation to chew the clock, Louisville QB Jawon Pass threw on the play. It was intercepted and FSU suddenly had new life.
The Seminoles made the most of their gift, driving to take a 28-24 lead with 1:13 left in the game. Florida State held on to win.
Many on Twitter are calling out Louisville coach Bobby Petrino for mismanaging the situation.
Bobby Petrino might have just gotten his team beaten. Terrible play call, interception, FSU ball with two minutes left.

Between Cristobal last week and Bobby Petrino this week, someone needs to let coaches know how the clock works.

Coaching malpractice by Bobby Petrino to lose that game.

My lord, what did Louisville just do and what was going thru Bobby Petrino’s head?

Ole Bobby Petrino with an inexplicable call at the end of the Louisville-FSU game and the Noles pull out the comeback. Pretty unbelievable.

Bobby Petrino really lost that game for Louisville

Louisville absolutely deserved to lose that game. Any team dumb enough to throw the ball with the lead and under two minutes to go should get exactly what’s coming to them
