Booker Pickett Jr., 4-star 2024 edge defender, names 2 SEC teams in final 5

Booker Pickett Jr. has picked up scholarship offers from 37 schools during his recruitment. The blue-chip edge defender out of Florida has narrowed things down to 5 schools.

Georgia and South Carolina made the cut for Pickett. The Bulldogs and Gamecocks will compete with Florida State, Miami and Ohio State to land Pickett’s commitment. He previously included Tennessee, Louisville, Penn State and USC in his top 9 teams, posted in February.

A Tampa Wharton standout, Pickett is listed as measuring 6-3, 205 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Pickett is rated 4-stars, the No. 13 edge defender, No. 27 recruit in the state of Florida and No. 190 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.
