Published:
Bowl games begin on Saturday as there are 7 games involving FBS teams, and 2 more for Division II and FCS.
To kick things off, the Myrtle Beach Bowl will feature Ohio, which is trying to reach 10 wins for a second consecutive season, a program first. Meanwhile, Georgia Southern struggled down the stretch with 4 straight losses after starting the season 6-2.
The game involving the Power 5 is the LA Bowl between UCLA and Boise State. For UCLA, QB Ethan Garbers is expected to start after he suffered a right shoulder injury in the season finale against Cal. Garbers threw for 3 touchdowns in the win against Southern Cal on Nov. 18, the Bruins’ lone victory down the stretch and the only game he started and finished in their last 4 games.
Since the Mountain West Championship Game, Boise State’s quarterback, Taylen Green, has entered the transfer portal and committed to play for Arkansas.
