College baseball preseason rankings are getting set as we prepare for the 2025 season, and the D1 Baseball Top 25 is out as of Monday!
To no surprise, the SEC is well-represented with 9 of the top 25 teams in the country. That’s expected with the SEC winning the last 5 College World Series titles with 5 different programs coming out on top. Tennessee (2024) and LSU (2023) are the most recent national champs, but neither program takes the top spot in the D1 poll.
Instead, it is Texas A&M, the runner-up to Tennessee last season, to grab the preseason No. 1 spot. Expectations are certainly sky-high for the Aggies with the program also grabbing the preseason No. 1 slot in the Perfect Game Top 25.
Behind A&M, it is Virginia from the ACC at No. 2 followed by No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Tennessee and No. 5 Arkansas. Georgia (No. 8) and Florida (No. 10) brings the SEC to 6 top-10 teams.
The ACC was the only other league to produce multiple top-10 programs with North Carolina (No. 6) and Florida State (No. 9) joining the Cavs. Oregon State at No. 7 was the other top-10 team.
Here is the full D1 Top 25 as we brace for the start of the regular season:
