College GameDay made a special trip to Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday to highlight Jackson State’s Week 9 game against Southern.

Lee Corso was unable to make the trip due to health reasons, so there was no headgear pick for the JSU-SU game. ESPN’s own Stephen A. Smith joined Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit at the desk to pick the biggest games of Week 9.

The picks segment included 2 SEC games. Davis noted they were skipping over Georgia-Florida because everyone picked the Bulldogs.

The crew shared their picks for No. 15 Ole Miss at Texas A&M and No. 19 Kentucky at No. 3 Tennessee. Here’s how the crew picked those games:

No. 15 Ole Miss at Texas A&M

  • Howard: Ole Miss
  • McAfee: Ole Miss
  • Smith: Ole Miss
  • Herbstreit: Ole Miss

No. 3 Tennessee vs. Kentucky

  • Howard: Tennessee
  • McAfee: Tennessee
  • Smith: Tennessee
  • Herbstreit: no pick (calling game on ESPN)

We’ll see how these picks turn out in a few hours!
