Daniel Holmes, 4-star DL out of Washington D.C., puts 2 SEC programs in top 6
Daniel Holmes is still considering a pair of SEC programs as he weighs his future options.
Florida and South Carolina each made his top 6 along with a trio of Big Ten programs and 1 from the ACC. Michigan, Maryland, Rutgers and Florida State made his list.

Holmes is the No. 292 overall player and the No. 32 defensive lineman in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 player from Washington D.C.
He attends Gonzaga High School in Washington D.C. He’s listed at 6-foot-6, 240 pounds. Holmes has also received offers from top programs such as Penn State, Texas and Wisconsin, but they did not make the cut.
Florida has 8 commitments so far in the class of 2024. The Gators’ class ranks No. 11 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
South Carolina is in a similar place at this point in the cycle. The Gamecocks already have 9 commitments and own the nation’s No. 10-ranked class, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
