Our Week 8 CFB Picks

Andrew Olson

Xavier Restrepo, Miami WR: Higher than 83.5 receiving yards

Restrepo’s average receiving yards per game is up to 97.5 after his monster 163-yard performance at Cal. Louisville’s pass defense numbers don’t scream “shutdown,” and the Cardinals have not faced a quarterback like Cam Ward.

Germie Bernard, Alabama WR: Higher than 53.5 receiving yards

Bernard is coming off his most productive game of the year, logging 4 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown against South Carolina. In 2 road contests, he has 6 catches for 125 yards. I expect Jalen Milroe to look for the veteran wideout Saturday on Rocky Top.

Trevor Etienne, Georgia RB: Lower than 90.5 rush+receiving yards

The Texas rushing defense looks to be the real deal, allowing just under 3 yards per carry. While Etienne has shown he is capable of more than his 70 total yards in Week 7 against Mississippi State, I like the Longhorns to keep under 91 total yards.

Shedeur Sanders, Colorado QB: Higher than 295.5 pass yards

Colorado-Arizona could be a shootout. Noah Fifita vs. Shedeur Sanders has the potential to be a passing showcase. Even if Travis Hunter can’t play with an injury, Sanders has plenty of talent he can utilize at the receiver position. I like him to go for 300+ pass yards on Saturday afternoon.

Garrett Nussmeier, LSU QB: Higher than 302.5 pass yards

Nussmeier is putting up video game numbers this year. Arkansas is tough at home, for sure, but I think Nussmeier will still throw early and often, win or lose. Give me the LSU gunslinger to have 303+ yards through the air on Saturday night in Fayetteville.

Gunnar Helm, Texas TE: Higher than 36.5 receiving yards

Helm has emerged as Ewers’ go-to guy. The Texas tight end was quiet during Arch Manning’s starts, but now that Ewers is back, he’s been great. Ewers is going to need a guy he can trust against a tough Georgia defense. Give me Helm to put up 37+ receiving yards.

Our Week 7 NFL Picks

Andrew Olson

Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans RB: Higher than 63.5 rush yards

The Titans are having a rough season, but Pollard has been a bright spot most weeks. The matchup with the Bills should lead to a steady workload for Pollard.

Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions WR: Higher than 49.5 rush+receiving yards

The Lions are cooking right now, and Williams has been solidly productive (aside from Week 3 against Arizona). Keeping Detroit’s offensive creativity in mind, I went for the combined line on the chance Williams gets to show off his speed carrying the ball.

Adam Spencer

Joe Mixon, Houston Texans RB: Higher than 61.5 rush yards

The Packers haven’t been good against the run this year, so this number is way too low. Mixon has been running hard when he’s been healthy, so I’m taking him to go off for significantly more than 62 yards on the ground on Sunday afternoon.

Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals WR: Higher than 78.5 receiving yards

The Browns are, once again, a dumpster fire. The Bengals absolutely have to win this game. What does that mean? It means Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow will be throwing a lot, and when he throws a lot, he targets Chase. I like Chase for 79+ receiving yards on Sunday.
