DJ Pickett’s recruitment is heating up.
Pickett, the No. 7 player in the class of 2025 according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, has a host of offers – 40, to be exact. On Thursday, the 5-star recruit whittled down his list of suitors to 5 finalists, and as you can see below, 2 of those 5 schools are in the SEC: Alabama and Georgia. They’ll look to hold off Miami, Oregon, and Michigan.

Pickett had a terrific junior campaign at Tampa (Fla.) Zephyrhills, making 52 catches for 1,033 yards and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, he was credited with 31 tackles and an interception for 85 yards.
From a recruiting standpoint, he’s considered a defensive back – at least in a couple of databases, with 247Sports rating him as its No. 3 cornerback despite an overall ATH designation — but his receiving skills could be showcased at the collegiate level as well. Nonetheless, Pickett is a recruit that will receive plenty of attention all the way up to his eventual commitment.
Below, you can take a look at some of his highlights:
