It’s the second-straight year and 5th time in the last 6 meetings that the Bulldogs and Rebels will meet on the holiday. This year’s game at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT/7:30 p.m. ET, airing on ESPN.

Mississippi State won last year’s game 24-22 in Oxford. It was the final game coached by the late Mike Leach, who passed in December. Zach Arnett will be coaching his first Egg Bowl as the head Bulldog.
Lane Kiffin is 2-1 in the rivalry as Ole Miss head coach, guiding the Rebels to wins in 2020 (31-24) and 2021 (31-21). Last year’s Egg Bowl loss was part of a 4-game losing skid to end the 2022 campaign. Ole Miss started the year 7-0 but ultimately finished 8-5.
