ESPN FPI Rankings after Week 10: Tennessee drops multiple spots despite win

ESPN FPI rankings have been updated following Week 10 across the college football world. And, as always, there were some interesting changes.
Though Texas held onto the top spot and the top 5 remained unchanged, things got interesting soon thereafter. Tennessee was No. 6 last week and beat Kentucky on Saturday night, yet the Vols fell to No. 8 on Sunday.
Alabama and Georgia are No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. The Tide were off on Saturday while the Bulldogs scored a win over Florida in Jacksonville.
Here’s a look at the ESPN Football Power Index top 25 teams as things stand entering Week 11 of the 2024 season.

That’s 9 SEC squads in the top 25, down from 10 a week ago. Mizzou (No. 26), Oklahoma (No. 27), Arkansas (No. 29), Auburn (No. 32), Vanderbilt (No. 34), Kentucky (No. 44) and Mississippi State (No. 69) were the 6 SEC squads not to crack the top 25.
Of note — USC has an overall record of 4-5 after losing to Washington on Saturday, but still finds itself at No. 17 in the updated FPI rankings.
