ESPN FPI rankings have been updated following an interesting Week 9 slate of games. There were plenty of exciting results in the SEC, including Texas A&M’s come-from-behind victory over LSU.

But that game didn’t figure too much into the FPI rankings, apparently. Texas A&M is No. 12 in the latest ESPN Football Power Index, with LSU right behind at No. 14. The Aggies only moved up 2 spots, while the Tigers only fell 2 spots.

However, at the top of the rankings, Texas leapfrogged Ohio State to reclaim the No. 1 spot. You can see the full top-25 rankings below:

  1. Texas
  2. Ohio State
  3. Alabama
  4. Georgia
  5. Notre Dame
  6. Tennessee
  7. Ole Miss
  8. Oregon
  9. Penn State
  10. Miami
  11. Indiana
  12. Texas A&M
  13. Clemson
  14. LSU
  15. USC
  16. SMU
  17. Louisville
  18. Kansas State
  19. Iowa State
  20. Boise State
  21. South Carolina
  22. Colorado
  23. Florida
  24. Mizzou
  25. Arkansas

That’s an impressive 11 SEC squads in the top 25 of the FPI rankings this week. The only 5 SEC teams not to make the cut were Oklahoma (No. 29), Auburn (No. 30), Vanderbilt (No. 37), Kentucky (No. 50) and Mississippi State (No. 72).

Oregon, the current No. 1 team in the AP Poll, is only at No. 8 in the Football Power Index, right behind an Ole Miss team with multiple losses.

How will the FPI rankings change in Week 10? Check back here next Sunday to find out!
