ESPN’s FPI is back with more predictions for the week ahead in Week 12.

The Florida Gators will host the LSU Tigers in a game where both teams will be looking to bounce back from a blowout loss. The Gators lost to Texas by a score of 49-17, while LSU lost to Alabama 42-13.

Both teams are on the outside looking in when it comes to the College Football Playoff, but both of these teams still have a lot to play for. ESPN’s FPI is giving the Tigers just over a 57% chance to win this game, leaving the Gators home underdogs at only 42.7%.

The SEC rivals will collide in a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium with the game aired on ABC.

The Gators had continued to battle throughout all kinds of adversity and injuries, but last week was a step back as they were blown out 49-17 at Texas. Florida was never competitive in this game, as the Gators were down 35-0 at the half. With quarterbacks Graham Mertz and DJ Lagway being injured, coach Billy Napier went with Aidan Warner at the quarterback position. He went 12-of-25 passing for 132 yards and 2 interceptions.

Florida has to win 2 of its final 3 games to become bowl elgible, and the Gators play ranked teams (Ole Miss next week) in the next 2 weeks before ending with Florida State.

LSU was blown out 42-13 by Alabama last weekend, and the issues the Tigers have had of stopping quarterbacks from running the ball continued in a big way. The Tigers defense gave up 185 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns to Jalen Mailroe, who jumped right back into the Heisman conversations.

Garrett Nussmeier has been great at times for the Tigers, but he continued his trend of throwing costly interceptions as he threw 2 more on Saturday night. LSU is all but eliminated from the CFP, but a 10-win season is still on the table for the Tigers.
