ESPN has released its post-Week 3 top 25 power rankings following a wacky weekend of college footballl.
Kansas State still ranked and Mizzou not despite the Tigers beating the Wildcats on Saturday? You know it. Tennessee still ranked after getting demolished in The Swamp? Yep.
The only constant is Georgia at No. 1. ESPN didn’t give into the pressure like some others and rank a Pac-12 team No. 1 in a move that will surely come back to bite everyone in the butt down the road. Here’s a look at the 5 SEC teams that crack ESPN’s current power rankings:
- No. 1 — Georgia
- No. 13 — LSU
- No. 14 — Alabama
- No. 16 — Ole Miss
- No. 21 — Tennessee
Should Alabama still be ranked after its struggles against USF? That will be a hotly debated topic around the country this week. We’ll see where the Crimson Tide land in the AP and Coaches Polls on Sunday afternoon when they’re released.
The SEC will try to get back to its dominant ways again in Week 4.
