Fans, media react to seating chart for SEC coaches meeting in Destin

SEC spring meetings are taking place in Destin, Florida, this week.
The big issue, of course, is the recent spat between Alabama coach Nick Saban and Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher.
So, when the seating chart was released for the football coaches’ meeting, people took notice. As you can see below, the coaches are seated in alphabetical order by school, except for Jimbo Fisher, who is in between 2 SEC officials:

That led to plenty of speculation that he was put there to avoid another outburst at Saban, but there’s a simple explanation. Fisher is sitting at the head of the table because he’s the chair of the football coaches group:

Elsewhere, though, fans and media had plenty to say about the chart, particularly the trio of Eli Drinkwitz, Mike Leach and Lane Kiffin:
