The NFL 2020 season officially kicked off on Thursday with defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs defeating the Houston Texans. The Thursday Night Game made it without any players getting ejected. The first Sunday of the NFL season, however, did not take long to deliver a first-half ejection.
Detroit Lions player Jamie Collins is the first player to get tossed. Collins was reportedly trying to demonstrate a hit made on him to an official. Collins came in contact with the official making the headbut motion, which resulted in him getting tossed. Either terrible luck, a dumb move or both, depending on how you view it.

We have an EJECTION. #Lions LB Jamie Collins went to demonstrate to an official how he made a hit, head-butted him in the chest and has been tossed.
