The “Fight for LA” took a dramatic turn Wednesday.
The Rams and Chargers shared the practice field this week and will also be sharing the Los Angeles market this season, and it appears it’s off to a roaring start.
Multiple scuffles broke out between the two teams at practice, with one leaving former Mizzou CB E.J. Gaines with a bloodied face. According to the AP’s Greg Beacham, Rams CB Trumaine Johnson threw a haymaker at Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman. Rams CB Nickell Robey-Coleman then pushed Inman to the ground. Chargers WR Keenan Allen then body-slammed Robey-Coleman.
Of course, in this digital age, it was all caught on video. Gaines was apparently the only player who showed visible signs of the fight. The former Mizzou CB was a sixth round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Rams.
