Georgia-Florida is one of the best rivalries in the SEC and all of college football, and the game has become a staple in Jacksonville. It marks one of the best neutral-site rivalries in the sport, but Jacksonville will be unavailable in a few years.
During the 2026 and 2027 seasons, Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium will be undergoing renovations, forcing a change of scenery for the rivalry matchup. On Wednesday, the host sites for those 2 seasons were reported on by Brett McMurphy with the Action Network.
According to McMurphy, the 2026 version of the game will take place in Atlanta at Mercedes Benz-Stadium. That venue has become a staple for many college football games, including select home games for Georgia Tech, the SEC Championship Game and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
In 2027, the game will return to the Sunshine State. According to McMurphy, that matchup will come in Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Orlando and Miami were also considered in 2027, per McMurphy.
McMurphy did have some good news, though, for fans who enjoy the Jacksonville destination. He reports the game will return to Jacksonville in 2028 for at least a short a time.
