Greg Sankey kicked off the unofficial start to the 2024 SEC season Monday morning at SEC Media Days in Dallas. The annual event jumpstarts “talking season” as the full attention of fans across the country turns to the upcoming football season.
Sankey began the event with his annual address with a number of comments on the arrival of Texas and Oklahoma which officially brings the league to 16 teams moving forward. He also revealed the destination for SEC Media Days in 2025.
After visiting Dallas for the first time ever this year, the event is heading back to Atlanta. The College Football Hall of Fame will serve as the host site next summer.
“We are going to return to Atlanta and the College Football Hall of Fame with our Media Days,” Sankey announced.
SEC Media Days was previously host at the CFB HOF in 2022 before making its first trip to Texas this summer for the arrival of Texas and Oklahoma. The first-ever edition of SEC Media Days was hosted in 1985 in Birmingham.
