Kirk Herbstreit’s final four teams at the end of the regular season includes all conference champions including his alma-mater Ohio State.
Goodbye TCU.
The Buckeyes’ 59-0 spanking of Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship on Saturday was all the noted ESPN analyst needed to see in his final evaluation of the nation’s best teams. Heading into the final College Football Playoff rankings, Herbstreit likes Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Ohio State:
After 15 weeks of Football. My final top 4.
1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. FSU
4. Ohio State
We'll see Sunday at 12:30pm est on @espn

Herbsreit was also impressed by Mizzou’s effort in defeat, though it won’t matter since the three-loss Tigers aren’t going to qualify for a New Year’s Six bid.
Very impressed with this Missouri team. When Ray went down and they were down 21-3 I thought it was over. These boys just keep battlin!

Mizzou definitely earning respect around the SEC tonight. Faced adversity, lost best player early, down big, now within striking distance.
