High school kicker sets state record with incredible 58-yard kick

Reliable kickers seem to be hard to come by these days in college football. Even in the NFL ranks, we saw a few kickers struggle mightily in Week 1.
Well, eventually, a few of those teams might be giving North Dakota high school kicker Emmet Kenney a call.
As you can see below, Kenney — who kicks for Fargo Shanley — drilled a 58-yard field goal on Friday night:

That kick was a state record, as he lined up just 2 yards in front of the 50-yard line. If anything, that kick wasn’t far enough for him.
It looks like it would have been good from 62 yards or more. A kick like that will surely draw the attention of college coaches around the country.
