The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the final Sunday of the NFL regular season with a 5-10 record out of postseason contention. It appears Leonard Fournette and T.J. Yeldon were mentally checked out and ready for the offseason.
Fournette was inactive, but still traveled to Houston, while Yeldon was on the active roster for the game against the Texans. Both players reportedly spent most of the game on the bench showing little interest in what the Jaguars were doing on the field.
Tom Coughlin, the executive vice president of the Jacksonville Jaguars, called Fournette and Yeldon’s conduct unprofessional in a statement released to reporters:
“I am disappointed in the behavior today from T.J. Yeldon and Leonard Fournette. They were disrespectful, selfish and their behavior was unbecoming that of a professional football player.”
Yeldon and Fournette, who was inactive, spent virtually the entire game sitting on the bench, even during offensive possessions. More of a bad look for Yeldon because he was active. #Jaguars https://t.co/xrpNvukHF5

What’s the point of #Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette even traveling with the team. This is what he has looked like the entire game while the offense is on the field. pic.twitter.com/l5tCt7H9w4
