Jeff Saturday shouted out some of the top efforts from offensive lines across college football last weekend during a fun recent segment on ESPN’s Get Up.
The Super Bowl champion and member of the Indianapolis Colts’ Ring of Honor gave plenty of love to Miami, Oregon, and Missouri in the hilarious segment.
Anchored by the offensive line’s endurance, Miami edged Clemson 28-20 in double overtime. Miami rushed for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the game-winning 3-yard run from Ajay Allen. Miami was without starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke but Clemson had no sacks on freshman Emory Williams.
Oregon punished Washington State on the ground in the 38-24 victory. The offensive line helped the Ducks rush for 248 yards, with a pair of 100+ yard rushers in Bucky Irving (129 yards, 2 touchdowns) and Jordan James (103 yards). The Oregon offensive line also kept Bo Nix clean, as Washington State managed no sacks.
Missouri defeated South Carolina 34-12 thanks to the dominance of its offensive line. Cody Schrader rushed for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns behind the holes carved by the Missouri offensive linemen. Brady Cook also wasn’t sacked by South Carolina during the win.
Next up for No. 16 Missouri after the bye week is a clash at No. 1 Georgia on Nov. 4.
