Joel Klatt includes 3-way tie for No. 1 spot in updated top 10 rankings

Joel Klatt updated his top teams after a Week 2 slate which saw some historic upsets, as well as some ranked teams being in much closer games than expected.
One of his toughest decisions to make is who is the No. 1 team in the country right now. Klatt decided to go with 3 teams in that spot, as he has Georgia, Ohio State and Texas tied for the top spot. He got to see the Longhorns in person as they dominated Michigan, but he has yet to see the other 2 in person.
Ole Miss has been on absolute fire in the first couple of weeks, and the Rebels come in at No. 4. Cam Ward and the Miami Hurricanes are currently No. 5.
The rest of the top 10 goes to Tennessee, USC, Alabama, Penn State and Utah. Missouri, Michigan, Oregon, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are on the outside looking in.

As we saw last week with Notre Dame, upsets are going to happen all throughout the college football season. There is a very good chance that many of the teams he currently has in his Top 5 will be out, while one of those “almost teams” will be in the Top 5 at some point.
We’ll see how the rankings look after Week 3, but there has already been some key movement involved.
