Johntay Cook II is the No. 41 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class and a 4-star receiver out of DeSoto, Texas, according to 247Sports.
Like many top players in the 2023 class, he’s getting closer to making his college decision, narrowing his list down to 5 programs on Sunday.
As you can see below, Cook has 2 SEC teams — Texas A&M and Florida — still in contention for his commitment:

Those 2 SEC programs will compete with Texas out of the Big 12, Michigan from the Big Ten, and FCS power Jackson State for Cook’s services in 2023 and beyond.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Cook is the No. 8 wide receiver in the class of 2023 and the No. 7 overall recruit from the state of Texas.
