Kirk Herbstreit has 4 SEC teams in his current top 6 rankings

The 2020 season is underway for members of the ACC, Big 12 and SEC, with the SEC having completed Week 1 on Saturday.

The Big Ten and Pac-12 are resuming over the next few weeks, but when ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit ranked his current top 6 teams, he limited it to only conferences that are on the field now.

As you can see below, Herbie has 4 SEC teams in the top 6 — Alabama at No. 2, Florida at No. 3, Georgia at No. 5 and Mississippi State at No. 6:

Obviously weird year to rank top 4 NOW but I will rank teams ONLY that are PLAYING & adjust as other conferences join the mix.
My top 4 will be very fluid this year.

Those 4 SEC squads are joined by a pair of ACC teams — Clemson and Miami — in the current rankings.

Of course, one figures Ohio State will join the mix when the Big Ten resumes play, but for now, Herbie’s top 6 is loaded with SEC talent.
