Kirk Herbstreit is back with his top performers of the week.
Week 10 of college football action featured several matchups with important implications, with Tennessee and Georgia among the most important as the Bulldogs showed they were the best team in the nation with a 27-13 win over the Volunteers.
Herbstreit’s top players of the week include the Georgia defense and LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels from the Southeastern Conference. Non-SEC players who also made the cut included record-setting SMU quarterback Tanner Mordecai and Texas running back Bijan Robinson, in addition to others who were major impact makers for their team on Saturday.

Looking specifically at the SEC, quarterback Jayden Daniels has continued to show improvement as a passer and is among the players in the conference who have ascended in the rankings in a big way. Daniels completed 22-of-32 passes for 182 yards with 2 touchdowns in Saturday’s 32-31 overtime victory over Alabama.
