As soon as ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit finished calling the Florida State-Miami game, he dropped his top four on the network.

This week, Alabama was ranked No. 1, followed by Ohio State at No. 2. Here’s Herbstreit’s top four teams after week six:

1. Alabama Crimson Tide
2. Ohio State Buckeyes
3. Clemson Tigers
4. Washington Huskies

Alabama torched Arkansas Saturday 49-30, and ESPN’s Todd Blackledge called the Alabama-Arkansas game. Blackledge said on the broadcast that coming into the game, he had Ohio State as his No. 1 team, but after seeing Alabama’s defense live, he has the Crimson Tide No. 1.

I’m sure many folks around the country are starting to look ahead to a possible Alabama-Ohio State matchup in the College Football Playoff.
