ESPN will get the most of Lee Corso’ trip to south Louisiana this weekend.
After making his usual appearance on Saturday’s edition of College GameDay in Baton Rouge, Corso will perform his trademark headgear pick for the Saints-Rams on the set of Sunday NFL Countdown the following day in New Orleans. According to the report from NOLA.com, this is the first time in the 33-year history of the show that Corso will be present to pick an NFL game.
While College GameDay travels every week of the NFL season, Sunday will just be the third time that Countdown has been televised outside of a studio. There’s good reason for that — the 6-1 Saints take on the undefeated Rams in a game that could very well determine home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs.
This opportunity gives Corso the chance to make Louisiana sports fans happy twice in the same weekend.
