LOOK: Embarrassing College GameDay attendance proves Louisville is a basketball school

College GameDay probably won’t be heading back to Louisville any time soon after hosting the show from the Cardinals’ campus on Saturday.
That’s because there was almost no one there ahead of Saturday night’s huge showdown between the No. 14 Cardinals and No. 3 Clemson Tigers.
As you can see below, attendance was abysmal, with only a smattering of Cardinals fans bothering to show up for the popular ESPN show:

Obviously, Louisville is a basketball school, and the fact that basketball coach Rick Pitino was the guest picker just hammers that point home.
Even if the Cardinals have another strong football team next year, it’s unlikely ESPN will send the GameDay crew back to Louisville.
