LOOK: Hawaii may have unveiled the best alternate helmet of the season

Sept. 1 is widely recognized as the kickoff weekend of the 2018 college football season, but Hawaii at Colorado State is among the games being played today.
Hawaii is getting some social media buzz for sporting sharp new helmets. The state of Hawaii in green on a black background makes for a rather visually-appealing lid.

The team is sporting helmets as part of way to say they are playing for the state of Hawaii with Hurricane Lane (since downgraded to a tropical storm) on their minds.
The game, helmets and all, can be viewed on the CBS Sports Network.

The Hawaii helmets almost make up for the fact they just took a delay of game on the opening snap
