Mark Sears scored the most points in the MAC during the 2021-22 season, amassing 688 points for the Ohio Bobcats. He also was second in the league in scoring average, with 19.7 points per game.

Now, he’s looking to transfer, and some big-name programs are interested in him, according to Scott Whittle, Sears’ AAU coach.

Among those programs are 6 SEC teams — Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida and South Carolina:

Those 6 SEC schools will compete with Texas, Creighton, Miami, West Virginia, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Samford and Appalachian State for the 6-1 guard’s services.

Sears appeared in 35 games for the Bobcats in 2021-22, starting all of them. He averaged 19.7 points, 6.0 points, 4.1 assists and 1.7 steals per contest.
