The Iron Bowl rivalry between Alabama and Auburn is one of the most intense rivalries in all of sports.
Sometimes, that rivalry carries over to the NFL, and sometimes, it doesn’t even matter that the players involved are on the same team.
On Monday, it was reported that the Miami Dolphins had released former Auburn DL Gabe Wright after he apparently took a cheap shot at ex-Alabama RB Kenyan Drake during a recent practice:

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald broke down what happened during the scuffle:
Wright grazed Drake with an elbow to the back when Drake wasn’t wearing a helmet. One Dolphins source said that Wright shot was uncalled for.
Wright was a fourth-round pick of the Detroit Lions back in 2015. The Dolphins were his third team, as he spent the 2016 season with the Cleveland Browns before heading to Miami last season.
Now, he’ll need a new team — his fourth in four years — after his fight with Drake.
