Paul Finebaum isn’t going anywhere. The long-time sports analyst and host has signed a multi-year extension with ESPN, the company announced Thursday.

“Over the years, Paul has demonstrated time and time again that he is one of the leading voices across college football,” Burke Magnus, ESPN President of Content, said in a release. “The connection he has built with his listeners, viewers, fans and the media who cover college sports is unmatched. We look forward to Paul continuing to bring his signature commentary to SEC Network and ESPN programming.”

Finebaum has been with ESPN since 2013 when The Paul Finebaum Show made its ESPN Radio debut. TV simulcasts of the Finebaum Show on the SEC Network began in 2014.

In addition to hosting his own show, Finebaum is also a commentator on SEC Nation, the SEC Network’s traveling football pregame show. During football season, Finebaum has taken his show on the road for “Finebaum Fridays” at the host campus for Saturday’s SEC Nation. The first “Finebaum Friday” of the 2024 season will be from Gainesville ahead of SEC Nation’s visit to UF campus for the in-state rivalry clash between Miami and Florida on Aug. 31.

Finebaum also contributes college football analysis to numerous ESPN shows, including Get Up, First Take, SportsCenter and College Football Live.

“I consider myself incredibly blessed to be a member of this talented team at ESPN and get to do what I do on a daily basis,” Finebaum said in a press releases. “I’d like to thank everyone at ESPN, as well as our loyal listeners and viewers, for their continued support.”

An alumnus of the University of Tennessee, Finebaum has enjoyed a multi-decade media career. He won awards writing for the Birmingham Post-Herald and later the Mobile Press-Register. As a radio host, Finebaum debuted his show at WAPI. He would later move to WERC before switching to syndication, launching The Paul Finebaum Radio Network (2001-12). Finebaum is also a best-selling author.
