Peter Burns has had it with the comparisons of the SEC to other conferences, and he let the “SEC This Morning” audience know it on Monday morning.
“I’m so sick and tired of us pretending that other conferences are as good as the SEC,” he said. “I’m so sick and tired of hearing that TCU could hold a candle right now to Alabama, or to Georgia, or to Tennessee. And yet I’m supposed to feel that way. ‘Well, you know UCLA they keep undefeated, the Pac-12’s supposed to be there.’ Why the hell should they be? The Pac-12 is a joke of a conference compared to the SEC.”
Burns cited recruiting rankings, success in the past and future NFL players as his reasons.
“I’m supposed to think that an undefeated UCLA team could go blow for blow with Georgia,” he said.
Co-host Chris Doering then cited Oregon, which already has a lopsided loss to start the season against Georgia.
