There are plenty of things a team can do with a trophy.
One of those things shouldn’t be breaking it on the ground. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to Oklahoma’s 2016 Big 12 title trophy on Saturday.

Sooners offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley is correct, they do have nine others. But, over the last 24 hours, Oklahoma has broken a tenth of their championship trophy collection. That’s practically a pattern.
While other conferences are busy wheeling out their glass trophies on whatever that trolly thing is, the SEC knows exactly how to display one proudly.
