PHOTO: Tulane unveiled one of the best alternate helmets we’ve seen

The Tulane Green Wave have one of the more interesting mascots in all of college football, and sometimes their uniforms reflect that.
This week, Tulane announced that it would wear some sweet alternate helmets for its Week 1 matchup against Wake Forest.
As you can see below, the white helmets feature Tulane’s old mascot, called Gumby, on them:

This should be a helmet in Tulane’s rotation more often, as it is fun and looks great, even if the mascot is a bit cartoon-ish.
The Green Wave take on Wake Forest on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The game can be seen on the CBS Sports Network.
