Report: Samantha Ponder close to being named new NFL Sunday Countdown host
If you were hoping to catch Samantha Ponder on the upcoming season of ESPN College GameDay, you may be out of luck, as it looks like Ponder is set to land a big promotion at ESPN.
According to James Andrew Miller, author of the acclaimed ESPN book Those Guys Have All the Fun: Inside the World of ESPN, Ponder is set to help fill the void left behind by the vacant seat left by former ESPN host Chris Berman. Ponder will likely be moving away from GameDay in order to take Berman’s seat as host of NFL Sunday Countdown.

Finding a replacement for Berman is a tall task, but you have to give ESPN credit for thinking outside the box if Ponder is indeed the selection.
