Rocket Sanders ‘expected’ to commit to SEC program out of transfer portal

Rocket Sanders is expected to announce his transfer destination soon.
And according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, Sanders’ landing spot will be South Carolina. The transfer running back recently took a visit to Columbia on Monday and has previous experience with USC OC Dowell Loggains when he was at Arkansas.
Obviously, this is huge news for the Gamecocks. Sanders was plagued by injury issues in 2023 but, had a fantastic 2022 season and strong freshman season before that. In 2022 Sanders totaled 1,443 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns, sitting behind only Quinshon Judkins in season rushing yards from an SEC running back.
This past season Sanders finished with 209 yards and 2 touchdowns in just 6 games of action. When he’s healthy, Sanders is as good as any running back in the country.
Former Arkansas star running back Raheim “Rocket” Sanders is expected to transfer to South Carolina, sources tell @247sports.

South Carolina has done a great job at addressing the running back position. The Gamecocks lost Mario Anderson to the transfer portal less than a week ago.
Sanders’s expected commitment to USC would be the Gamecocks’ 2nd in less than 12 hours after North Texas RB Oscar Adaway announced he would also be heading to Columbia early Wednesday morning.
