Recently, it was reported that popular media personality Ryen Russillo was returning to ESPN, but it appears that’s not all he’ll be doing.
Yes, he is renewing his deal with the Worldwide Leader, where he’ll be continuing his own podcast while also hosting a few TV shows on occasion.
But, as he reported on Friday, he’ll also be joining The Ringer, where he’ll have a football podcast during the season before joining Bill Simmons every week to discuss the NBA. And, as if that wasn’t enough, he’ll also be writing a pilot for a television show:
So here’s the deal…
1. New deal w/ ESPN to keep the Russillo Show Podcast going and a few TV shows I’ll work with.
2. A football podcast w/ @ringer and then transition over to weekly w/ @BillSimmons to talk NBA.
3. Hired to write the pilot for a television show. (Details later)— Russillo (@ryenarussillo) August 24, 2018
The Ringer welcomed him with a WWE-style video, announcing that his football podcast — which will cover college football and the NFL — will be called “Dual Threat.”
Big news for a Friday. We'd like to officially welcome @ryenarussillo and his new podcast #DualThreat to the @RingerPodcasts network. Let's go.

It sounds like Russillo will be a busy guy, but if you like him, it’s a good time to hear him talking football (and everything else) on his various podcasts.
