Scott Van Pelt has shared his pick for Saturday night’s SEC Championship Game between Georgia and Texas.

Van Pelt made his pick known on his weekly “Winners’ segment on SportsCenter on Thursday. The veteran host is going with Georgia +3 against a Texas team it has already beaten once this season.

“What’s that coming down the track? Mean machine in Red and Black,” Van Pelt said. “Silver britches in Atlanta, getting a little bit from a team they beat earlier this season. Sign me up.”

Van Pelt is 11-1 all-time when picking Georgia as part of this segment, according to ESPN.

Van Pelt picked all underdogs on conference championship weekend, which has been a common theme for him this season (and in previous years of this segment). Van Pelt’s overall record in ‘Winners’ this year stands at 58-51-2.

Georgia and Texas met in Austin earlier this season. The Bulldogs built a big halftime lead before ultimately winning the game 30-15. However, that game marks the only time Texas has lost all season.
