CBS announces initial 2018 ‘SEC on CBS’ broadcast schedule

Following CBS’ announcement on Wednesday, we now know which league games will be featured nationally by the network at the beginning of the 2018 season.

Tennessee will kick off the festivities with its season opener against West Virginia on Saturday, Sept. 1, from Charlotte.

Georgia’s trip to Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 8, will be the second SEC on CBS game of the year.

LSU’s trip to Auburn on Saturday, Sept. 15, will be the third SEC on CBS game of the year.

The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party will once again be featured nationally by CBS, as well. The annual showdown between SEC East rivals has been featured by CBS for 15 consecutive years, which means the 2018 showdown will mark year No. 16 for the game’s coverage on CBS.

The rest of the SEC on CBS schedule will be announced in-season. Here is a look at the games CBS has announced, as well as the open slots still remaining on its broadcast schedule (all listed times are Eastern):
