SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey releases statement regarding Florida-Tennessee game

While first thoughts go to those affected by Hurricane Irma, the SEC and Florida have to quickly determine whether the school is capable of hosting Tennessee this weekend just days after the storm passed through the area.
In a Monday afternoon update, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey released the following statement on the latest information surrounding the game.
“Now that the storm has passed through Gainesville, the University of Florida is working with local authorities to assess the effect of the storm on the campus and the Gainesville community, at the same time ensuring the appropriate security and local officials are available to host a game.”
Kickoff for Florida and Tennessee is scheduled for 3:30 pm ET on CBS.
