If you missed this news on Friday, the Southeastern Conference and league commissioner Greg Sankey cautioned fans that they could be missing out on some football this weekend due to contract negotiations with TV providers DirecTV and AT&T.
The league has linked out to the following comment explaining the situation:
“Unfortunately, so far AT&T has refused to reach a fair, market-based agreement with us, despite the fact that the terms we are seeking are in line with recent marketplace deals we have reached with other distributors. If a deal is not reached soon, DIRECTV and AT&T video subscribers could lose access to ABC, ESPN and more.”
On Saturday, the league provided an update on the issuing, warning fans that they may miss some of the action on Saturday night.
Attention @SEC fans!
If you are a DirecTV, AT&T U-Verse or AT&T TVNow subscriber, you may not be able to view games on @SECNetwork (and other @ESPN and Disney networks) this weekend.

Negotiations between AT&T/DirecTV and Disney/ABC ESPN are ongoing. If an agreement is not reached, subscribers to DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse may need to find an alternate way to watch today’s game on SEC Alternate.
