It’s bowl season, which means it’s prime time for all the conferences to play for bragging rights and prove their worth. As well as teams and conferences can represent themselves during occasional matches in the regular season, their achievements are magnified in high-profile bowl games.

The SEC is considered the best conference in college football, which means it’s even more important for league teams to do well in postseason play if it wants to maintain its credibility.

Before the 2015 bowl games take place, let’s take a look back at how the SEC has done in the past against the other Power 5 conferences in bowl games:

SEC vs. ACC: 38-20

  • 2014 record: 2-1
  • 2015 bowl games:
    • Belk Bowl, Dec. 30: Mississippi State vs. N.C. State
    • Music City Bowl, Dec. 30: Texas A&M vs. Louisville

SEC vs. Big Ten: 46-28
