Tony Romo catches stray from announcer during XFL broadcast

Tony Romo likely isn’t watching the XFL broadcast between the San Antonio Brahmas and St. Louis Battlehawks. Hopefully, for his sake.
Those who were tuned in heard XFL commentator Matt Barrie torching the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback. San Antonio kicker John Parker Romo nailed a field goal to get the Brahmas on the board, prompting the following spiel from Barrie: “And by my math, you’ve got a Romo playing football in Texas in February.”
These XFL announcers are savage. Tony Romo is probably relaxing somewhere, meanwhile this is happening on the broadcast. pic.twitter.com/sRntmn9Eb4

Rough.
The XFL was brought back following a hiatus following the Covid-19 pandemic. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson purchased the spring football league that had started to gain some traction before having to be shut down in 2020.
