A memorable and impressive season of SEC basketball is coming to a close. On Saturday, Auburn officially clinched the outright title with a win over South Carolina in the regular-season finale.
Among other notable results from Saturday, Tennessee knocked off Arkansas in Knoxville. That win gave the Volunteers an undefeated mark at home for the season, an accomplishment shared by Auburn and Kentucky.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, it is just the 3rd time in the past 25 seasons that a conference has had 3 teams finish unbeaten at home in the same season. In the SEC, it is the first instance since the 1958-59 season.
Auburn, Tennessee and Kentucky all went unbeaten at home this season.

As impressive as that is, the SEC nearly had 4 teams finish undefeated at home this season. Had Arkansas not lost in a wild finish vs. Vanderbilt early in January, the Razorbacks would have also joined the above-mentioned trio with an unbeaten home record.
Fortunately for the rest of the conference, it will be neutral-site games the rest of the way heading into the SEC Tournament.
