Zach Smith claims Ohio State didn’t properly investigate Urban Meyer

Ever since he was dismissed as an assistant coach at Ohio State by Urban Meyer, Zach Smith has publicly stood up for his former employer. Based on a recent tweet from the assistant coach, that could be changing.
Thursday evening, Smith sent out a tweet suggesting that Ohio State investigators did not properly investigate Meyer or Ohio State AD Gene Smith when they came to question him. Aside from saying the questions he was asked were bizarre and outside the realm of what he assumed they should have been asking him, Smith didn’t provide much other detail.
Keep in mind that his ex-wife Courtney Smith has alledged that Smith has said in the past he would “bury” Ohio State’s program if he ever lost his job. It’s unclear if that was a veiled threat or not but considering Smith made dozens of mistakes before being dismissed by Meyer, it stands to reason Ohio State had some incentive for keeping him on despite one miscue after another.
Can’t wait 2 disclose the 2.5 hr “investigative” interview I gave 2 the people OSU employed 2 find out if Cch Meyer / Gene Smith did anything wrong… Questions were bizarre & VERY clear they weren’t investigating ANYTHING they were supposed to be… Investigating media backlash.
