This may not be SEC-related news, but it’s something that you’ll thank me for posting later. I mean, how often do you get to watch a football stadium get blown up?
Over the weekend, Baylor’s old stadium — Floyd Casey Stadium — was demolished after serving as the Bears’ home field from 1950-2013, housing a program that saw plenty of ups and downs during that time. Baylor began play on its new field, McLane Stadium, during the 2014 season.
Baylor plans to swap the land where the stadium once stood with a city-owned five acre parcel adjacent to McLane Stadium once it has been cleared of debris.
Pretty cool way to start your week, if I do say so myself.
