Video: Young Northwestern fan just became the biggest meme of the NCAA Tournament
Move over “Crying Jordan,” there’s a new basketball-related-upset-reaction meme in town.
During the second half of an NCAA Tournament game between Gonzaga and Northwestern on Saturday, the CBS television broadcast caught one young Wildcats fan’s reaction to a call, and seemingly nothing else on Earth has mattered since.

Within seconds, Twitter exploded with reactions to this young fan’s reaction.
I think we need Hysterical Northwestern Kid in a half-screen box down the stretch of this game.

The real question is whether or not this kid will be excited about his new celebrity status or mortified with the way he achieved it. This is a young boy we are talking about here, after all, and he might not be too excited that the nation has now seen him weeping bitter, angry tears.
He wasn’t alone in his sorrow, however, as Northwestern’s first tournament appearance in school history came to an end with a 79-73 loss to the Bulldogs.
